Password Strength
This article explains what constitutes a strong password for your account.
Different networks have different rules for passwords. In our times password strength is considered a long sequence of characters. The longer it is, the better.
We encourage you to use passwords with different types of characters, like lower case characters, upper case characters, numbers and symbols like hyphens, dots, commas etc. But keep in mind the most important factor is using a long password.
Here is how we calculate the strength of your password:
- 0-7 characters is too short, so we consider it unacceptable.
- 8-15 latin characters (lower and uppercase) and numbers is acceptable but not as strong as we would like.
- 8-15 latin characters, numbers, symbols and other characters is acceptable and better than the previous case, but still not as strong as we would like.
- 16-21 characters is a strong password.
- 22 or more characters is an even stronger password and that's what we recommend.
Spaces are not allowed in passwords.
Please be careful with Caps-Lock in your keyboard. If you have Caps-Lock active when you set your password your it will probably be all in upper case letters and you must remember that when you log in.
